About us
A cats-only sitting service, run from Witney
Small, local, and deliberately narrow. We look after cats in their own homes across West Oxfordshire, and that is the entire business.
Why we started
Because the cattery is the worst part of the holiday
Anyone who has taken a cat to a cattery knows the sequence. The carrier comes out of the loft and she vanishes. You catch her eventually. There's a car journey narrated at volume the whole way. Then you hand her over to a stranger in a building full of cats she has never met, feel slightly awful about it, and drive to the airport.
And then you do the whole thing in reverse on the day you get home, when you are tired and there is a fortnight of washing in the hall.
The odd thing is that most cats do not particularly mind being on their own for a week. What they mind is the carrier, the car, the unfamiliar room and the smell of other cats through a wall. Take those four things away and the problem largely disappears, which is what this business is.
So we come to your house instead. Once or twice a day, at roughly the times she expects. She stays in her own bed, on her own routine, in a house that smells right. And you get a photo, so you know it's true.
How we work
Four things we've decided not to compromise on
We tell you what actually happened
If she didn't eat, the Visit Note says she didn't eat. A good report you can't trust is worth less than a bad one you can.
We publish our prices
Everything we charge is on the prices page, including the four days a year that cost more. You can work out what your trip costs without speaking to anybody.
We do one thing
Cats. Not dogs, not rabbits, not 'and other small pets'. It's the whole reason we're worth choosing.
We turn up
Unglamorous, and the only thing that matters. If we ever couldn't get to you, we'd ring you before you found out from an empty bowl.
Going away? Let's sort your cat out
Tell us your dates and roughly where you are, and we'll come straight back to you about whether we're free. If you'd rather just talk to a person, ring us, we answer our own phone.
