OX29 · about 10 minutes from Witney
Eynsham sits between Witney and Oxford, which makes it a village full of people who commute, travel for work, and disappear for long weekends. We visit once or twice a day and keep everything ticking over while you're gone.
Eynsham
It's an old place, there was an abbey here a thousand years ago, and the village still works around the Square, the church and a very good set of pubs. Practically speaking, Eynsham is a mix of stone cottages with awkward back gates and modern closes with straightforward front doors. We've no strong feelings either way, though the cottages tend to come with the more opinionated cats.
If you're on the Oxford side and your route home crosses Swinford Toll Bridge, don't worry about it, we come in from the Witney end, and there's no travel charge either way.
