We cover Minster Lovell in all its parts, the old village down by the river, the Charterville allotment cottages, and the newer housing along the main road.
Minster Lovell
The old village is one of the prettiest spots in the Windrush valley, all thatch and stone with the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall at the end of the lane. It's also the kind of place where houses have thick walls, deep windowsills and cats who have found the exact warmest square foot in the building and intend to stay there.
The lanes down to the old village are narrow and can flood after heavy rain on the Windrush. We know the alternative routes, and we'd rather set off early than miss a mealtime.
